Forum: Casual Lounge - Thread #674059033Msg #801 - Part 1/1 (Rec: 0)
Between my wife and I, we have too much debt in too many random places - the line of credits, multiple credit cards, loans, etc. It's embarrassing actually. I want to say this is carry over from our previously single lives. But nobody seems to want to help us with our existing debt and we don't have enough of our mortgage paid off to get a large secured line of credit against our house. We're getting killed in interest and it feels like progress is at a standstill because the numbers hardly change and all too often unexpectedly go further negative.

I feel like if we could get debt consolidation mortgage loan then we could save for the unexpected things. I'd like to avoid having credit checks out the way and getting rejected all over the place. Which financial institutions should I look at, which should I avoid, etc.?
