I'm a self-employed expat staying in a rented apartment. I'm planning to buy a home in Calgary. I don't have enough savings to raise the fund. So, I think it's better to apply for a mortgage to overcome this financial crisis. I have some issues with my credit score. It's only around 650. One of my friends in Edmonton suggested me to consult any mortgage broker in the city. Is it a good idea?
What all things we should keep in mind while approaching a broker for a mortgage? I had a research and found a few mortgage brokers offering lowest interest rate in Alberta. Can anyone check the rates and help me find the reasonable one? Please let me know your recommendations. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
