Slowdown to hit hard in Europe

Central Bank scales back growth forecasts

FRANKFURT, Germany, June 14 The global economic slowdown will bite Europe harder than expected, the European Central Bank acknowledged Thursday as it scaled back growth forecasts despite giving no hint of an upcoming interest rate cut.
