|When Obama left office, Jan 20, 2017, the Dow closed at 19,827. When he entered office, Jan 20, 2009, the Dow closed at 7,949. In other words, in his 8 years in office the Dow went up roughly 150%.
If Trump stays in office 8 years, the Dow would have to stand at 49,369 for his term in office to equal Obama’s as it relates to the stock market.
As of Friday the Dow Jones average now stands at only 25,984. So it has to go up another 23,385 points to equal Obama. Any chance of that? Fat chance to none at all even with the tax plan, tariffs, zero investment in infra-structure, tweeting ferociously, jawboning, boasting, puffery and all.
Someone is Lying (DT?) when he repeats he's leading the greatest market in all of history, perhaps in all the universe...

But miracles do happen. Like Ebenezer Scrooge of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella, A Christmas Carol, Trump may get a visit from the dead that takes him on a shadowed trip to his past, to witness his youth, his childhood, when he admired generosity and honesty. He may see little Donald Trump riding a sled in Central Park, holding onto his Daddy's hand asking why so many people don't have heat in their apartments, or wondering what the funny pointed hat in the closet was.
